Cutest little bunny!

Isn't this the cutest little bunny you've ever seen?

Guess who wore this costume 28 years ago? Yup, ME! How cool that Lucy gets to wear MY first Halloween costume? I couldn't have been happier that it fit her perfectly AND it's super warm, double plus!

Now I just gotta teach her to hop like a bunny and we're all set for Halloween. :)

Biting the bullet..

So for MONTHS I've been going back and forth about whether to promote my photography as a business and start bringing on more clientele (and of course making extra money.. which is always nice!). It's something I love, love, love to do (obviously) but I was so worried that since I work full time that having this photography business on the side would make me even MORE busy which means less time with my precious baby girl who of course still needs her mommy so much. Fortunately my husband has been incredibly supportive and encouraging me to at least try and if I get too overwhelmed I can always step back. So I took his advice and pulled it together and created a fan page on Facebook that I am now going to start using to promote myself. And I could not be any more excited about it!

With that said, I had 2 shoots this weekend. One was with the "Gable Girls" has I like to call them. That just rolls so nice with the tongue, doesn't it? lol. I met them down at Brownie Beach on Friday night and we got some really awesome shots! I absolutely love being able to take family pictures and truly capture the love between a family. Jen is such an awesome mommy and her girls just love her to pieces. You can clearly see in these family pics of them. They are such a cute family!

Then on Saturday morning I had a shoot with a lovely couple I didn't know (but had the pleasure of meeting) and they were so much fun to work with. They have a baby boy due on Nov. 3rd (Lucy's birthday!) and I'm so excited to meet him as I will also be doing his newborn pictures as well. Yay! How adorable is this couple? I swear I get so lucky to work with such nice people.

So come join my Facebook fan page if you haven't done so already! http://www.facebook.com/MalloryLaganaPhotography

Pumpkin Patched OUT!

Ok, so I might have mentioned that it wouldn't be possible to ever be "pumpkin patched out". Ok, so I lied. I definitely am! We went 3 times within 3 weeks and I can definitely say I'm good until next year. At least we got to go to 3 different one's which was nice.

So we went to Greenstreet Gardens with the Wells Family and Staci and Ashlyn last weekend. I always hear so many good things about Greenstreet so I was dying to try it out. It was really nice and there was so much for the kids to do! Especially fun for Brody and Ashlyn's age.

Brody and Ashlyn got their faces painted and their hair spray-painted. Super cute!

How cute is this? Lucy, Ashlyn, Blake, & Brody - the scarecrows!

Lucy's turn. (She could literally do this over and over and over..)

(FYI.. Blake got croup the same exact day as Lucy and we're almost positive this is the culprit since they kept putting corn in their mouths. Yikes!!)

Last one.. such a sweet picture of Ashlyn kissing Lucy. I can't get enough cousin pictures!

What a fun day. That will be it for the pumpkin patch pictures! Until next year that is . :)

VA bound!

Last weekend I had the awesome experience of going to VA Beach to second shoot a wedding with my cousin (who is a professional photographer). It was such a neat experience to have and I'm so glad I decided to do it. I sure did miss Lucy and Mark but it was so nice to get away and especially learn so much more about my favorite hobby - photography. Oh, and it's also nice to spend 2 days with the funniest person I know. Melissa is hysterical and I literally laughed the entire time I was there. Gotta love that!

So I drove down last Thursday night and on Friday morning she booked a newborn shoot and gave me a one-on-one workshop. Baby Griffin sure made us work hard for these shots but once he finally was asleep, he was out and we were able to get some really good shots!

So then Saturday was the BIG day! I can clearly see why wedding photographers are SO expensive.. it's a LOT of darn work! It was an all day thing and you literally don't stop, at all. It couldn't have been a prettier day and the wedding was absolutely gorgeous! I was able to get some really good shots and use for my portfolio (score!). Oh, and the couple really was awesome and gorgeous!

Isn't the bride gorgeous!? I couldn't get over it. She knew how to work a camera, that's for sure! So I definitely say my VA trip was a success! Thank you again Melissa for asking me to second shoot with you. I had SO much fun with you. Can't wait to do it again!! Xoxo
