Andrea and I have known each other since middle school. She dated my twin brother for a few years in high school and it wasn't until our freshman year of college that we became inseparable. (Go figure as soon as they break up!) Our first two years of college we literally spent every single day together. We had all the same classes and even worked together after school. Then on weekends we were out and about, always together. Even when she transferred to Towson we still remained so close. I spent so many weekends visiting her and we were still the best of friends. A few years ago it just seemed our lives when different ways as I was getting married, having a baby, etc. and we stopped talking as much. However, within the past year we've been talking more and more and it honestly felt like no time has gone between us. You know you're true friends when you don't talk for months yet it feels like no time has passed at all.
Friday night Mark and I met up with her and her fiance, Shawn, for dinner and then we went out to the bar with her friends to celebrate her 28th birthday. I'm so glad our friendship is still in tact and we both made the pact that we will make the effort to see each other at least every 6 months and obviously still keep in touch on a regular basis. We both were talking on Friday night how much we missed one another and wished we didn't let the time pass us like it did but man, the stories we can tell. We both feel like we have such an inseparable bond so I know we'll always be friends for life.
