Look at what I got at work today! These were from one of my best friends, Lisa, to tell Mark and I congrats! She seriously is one of the best friends any girl can have. :) Aren't they beautiful!? Mini M&M is sure going to love his/her Aunt Lisa!

Happy (belated) Easter!
So sorry I'm two days late on this! This is a busy, busy week for me. Not only do I have finals this weekend but I'm also co-hosting a friend's baby shower. Yup, in the same weekend. Lots of studying, favors to make, some more studying, games to plan, some more studying, decorations to buy, more studying.. you get the picture. Oh, and not to mention working all week too! Anyway, I just cut my studying time in short to come and make a new post!
So this past Sunday was Easter and we had the most beautiful weather! Now it's finally starting to feel like spring. Beside my horrible allergies this spring, I just love this time of year. On Easter morning Mark, Jen, Brian, and I went to church (it just doesn't feel like Easter to me when church isn't in the picture!) and then we all went to brunch at Westlawnn with my mom, Brion, Brion's parents, and David. Besides the slowww service (2nd time now), the food was awesome. Then later that day we had dinner at Mark's parents and again, the food was really yummy! I'm easy to please these days.. anything involving food, I'm there. :) We made Ashlyn an Easter basket and here she is checking it out. She kept saying "What's that?!"

Look at those curls! I just love them!
Uncle Mark just thinks the world of his niece!
It' hard to get a good shot of Ashlyn since she is always on the go, go, go so I got this one while Mark had her distracted. Isn't she just the cutest?
So not too much of an update on the baby this week! Everything is going very good though. We are still debating whether or not we are going to find out the sex next month. I just can't make up my mind to save my life! I sadly don't have any new 13-week shots since we were so busy on Sunday but I'll be sure to get one this coming Sunday.
Anyway.. back to studying my life away. :( On a positive note.. after this semester I have 9 more credits (yes, only THREE classes!) until my bachelor's degree is dunzo. I really can't believe I'm almost there! Whoo-hoo!

Baby Update!
We had a sonogram today to see our little peanut and everything looked great! It was amazing to see how much he/she has changed in 4 weeks. It was one active baby! I loved seeing it move all around and touch it's mouth and eyes and at one point it even had its legs crossed. I can't wait to start feeling the movement. Here's some good shots we got...
Isn't it just the cutest?! This mama thinks so. :) Oh, and you know how I've totally said this was a boy the entire time? I now have two more reasons to add why. One is because I had my very first gender dream where I gave birth to a little boy and two - I caved and bought an Intelligender because I was just dying to see what it would say! I took it this morning and here were the results...
I guess we'll find out soon enough! And lastly, one more baby update. He/she has received it's very first Easter basket thanks to Grandma Thomas (or whatever she is decides to be called!)
This is going to be one spoiled baby!!

Happy Sunday! 4.17.11
So this was the first weekend in awhile that I didn't have ONE thing planned. I feel like this past month has been nothing but bridal showers, baby showers, birthday party's, etc. I'm not complaining though - it's always nice catching up with people you don't see very often but once in awhile I enjoy these kinds of weekends where I can just get stuff done. Actually, it's usually the opposite and I get to relax the whole weekend but I decided I was going to be productive! This was my to-do list for the weekend:
- Get caught up on all the crazy mounds of laundry. Check!
- Clean out and organize both of my closets. Check!
Paint the bathroomHave Mark paint the bathroom. Check!- Finish a paper that I've been pushing off for days. Check!
- Upload and get printed 100's of pictures that I've been meaning to do for months now. Check!
- Make my very first diaper cake for a friend's baby shower in 2 weekends.
- Iron at least 20 shirts.
In the pictures you can see the new cabinets and light fixture. I don't want to spoil the paint color yet but I'll definitely be posting the finished product (hopefully) very shortly!
On to more exciting news.. I'm finally in my second trimester!!! Yup, as of today I am officially 12 weeks. I remember being 6, 7, 8 weeks along and daydreaming about finally getting past that "safe" mark. We have a sonogram tomorrow and we cannot wait to see how much our mini M&M has grown! Here's two belly shots from today...
Isn't it crazy how fast it's growing? You may not be able to tell but I sure can! Anyway, I'll be back on tomorrow to post our sonogram pic! Have a great rest of the weekend...

Happy trails
So Mark and I took Silas for a walk last night and while we were out we decided to check on the progress of the trails they are in the process of making... right in our neighborhood! We were so surprised to see that they already had almost all of the bridges completed. It's so nice to go to now since no one seems to know about it but I tell ya, once they finish it it's going to be a huge hit! I just had to go back tonight to get pictures during sunset to show you all how beautiful these trails are. Nothing better than a few nature shots!
How cool that this is literally in my back yard?!

11 weeks today!
When I first found out I was pregnant, the weeks seemed to just draaaag on by. But for some reason the past couple of weeks have just flown by so quickly. I can't believe I am getting so close to my second trimester! I am really looking forward to so much - getting a belly, feeling the baby move, finding out the sex, decorating the nursery... ah, the list goes on. I've been trying to remember to take a picture of my belly every Sunday (the start of my new weeks) so I can look back and see how much my belly has changed. I don't have too much there yet but you can see where I'm starting to!
Grow baby grow! I was driving myself crazy wondering if everything was ok with the baby until I finally caved and ordered a home doppler so I can listen to the heartbeat. I didn't know if it would actually drive me even more crazy (since I've heard they don't always work) or I would gain my sanity back. Well I'm glad to announce it was the latter because as soon as I received it in the mail, I was able to find the heartbeat pretty much right away. There it was.. just beating away at 165-170bpm. Nice, fast heartbeat! What does the old wivestales say about fast heartbeats? Means it's a girl! I'm not buying it though.. we are still so convinced this baby is a boy!
Anyway, we have our next appointment this Tuesday (the 12th) and hopefully we'll get to schedule the 12 week sonogram. I can't wait to see our little mini M&M again!
Yay for my first entry!!
I'm so excited to be posting my very first blog entry! Starting a blog was something I've been wanting to do for months now. So I'm finally glad that I took the time out to make one (a very long process I should mention!). What's a better (and easier) way to share your life with friends and family then a blog?!
I feel like this time in our lives are just so busy and exciting and I'm glad to have this place to share it with everyone. Keep checking back because I will continue to update about my pregnancy (yay!), share any upgrades we make to the house, share new pictures, and anything else going on in our lives!
